Carol Fraser is the Vice President of Aspen Hotels Alaska- Aspen Management. After previously working at the company for ten years, she left to explore opportunities at other hotel management companies and realized there’s “No place like home” and came back for good in 2016. One of her proudest accomplishments is the creation of the Alaska Hotel and Lodging Association’s Stars of the Industry Awards Banquet that she started 21 years ago in Anchorage. To date, thousands of hospitality employees throughout Alaska have won this statewide honor. Carol received the Sales and Marketing Employee of the year twice, the Hospitality Leadership Award and the Spirit of Hospitality Award throughout the last twenty-five years in the tourism industry.

Carol currently serves on the statewide board of directors of Resource Development Council, Alaska Travel Industry Association, Alaska Alliance for Cruise Travel, Alaska State Chamber of Commerce, Kenai Peninsula Tourism Marketing Council and is a governor’s appointee for the Statewide Clemency Board.

She has lived in Alaska since 1983 and has two of her three children also enjoying their careers in the Alaska travel industry. Although Carol loves to travel the world, Alaska will be her forever home.
